Importance

The species is frequently found in spring-sown crops in the Danish Isles, but is spreading to the rest of Denmark. In cereal crops, Oil-seed Rape and Pea night-flowering Catchfly is usually of no particular importance, whereas it can be quite troublesome in open crops. In clover seed fields the plant is undesirable because it is difficult to separate the seeds.
